Introduction
Kashmir is one of the most beautiful locations in the world that is worth watching the gorgeous mountains, lakes, rivers with snow, etc. There are no limits to natural beauty Kashmir, and that’s the reason it’s known by the name of “Paradise upon Earth” is a title worth mentioning. The climate is quite cold, yet at the sight of this beautiful paradise the cold is almost to be nothing. It also has gorgeous spots where trek is feasible and worthwhile to visit with family or with friends.
The trek lies on 75km of the north-east of Srinagar with a 360-degree landscape of rugged, wild mountain ranges, rolling meadows, and turquoise lakes. This means you’re going to have more than seven lake and valleys that you can explore.
The altitude and the range of the landscape makes it a moderate-to-hard level of trekking that can last between 6 and 8 days. It is not for the beginner, at a minimum it is only for those with some previous experience in high altitudes.
The struggle on the road to reach the destination is worth the effort. Each time you look at the scene, it appears new to you, adding to your memories of multiple times. The view that you will get after long hours of work can be even more appealing for your eyes. The view will remind you of the white, milky iceberg floating on the blue ink lake’s surface. It is truly an amazing view.
Kashmir valleys
How do we ignore the meadows that lie in the Kashmir after all the talk about mountains and valleys? There are meadows of every size and color that is truly amazing. There are times when you’ll get to see a lot of them.
In the the first day, clumps pine and maple grow as the meadows of a paradise. The second day, they move off, descending into a wider valley where horses run and sheep graze. Third day, close to the Gadsar pass, wildflowers flourish in these meadows that are abandoned by nature. On the fourth day, the flat plain that is grassy of satsar appears almost manicured, with the glimmering stream that flows through it.
When you finish the trek, you will be able to feel that every trek you’ve ever been to appears to be just a normal film on a tiny screen. This Kashmir wonderful trek will give you the impression of the IMAX 3D.
Planning the days
If you’re planning to travel with a someone from your family, you have to have planned your trip, but if you’ve had a plan yet, don’t fret. I’ve already arranged the perfect trip route for you. The trip will last seven to eight days, so prepare your bags and be prepare for the amazing adventure you’re about to be able to experience that will prove to be a unique experience.
DAY-1
In the first instance, if you reside in Srinagar or another state, you must first go to Srinagar. Following that, you’ll have to drive to Shitkadi. It’s about 80km from Srinagar which takes about 3-4 hours of travel time. Shitkadi is the site of the base camp where your health and fitness for your trek will be assessed, so make sure you arrive on time. The registration and checking process begins at 4pm, therefore if you can arrive prior to the scheduled time, it will benefit you in the end.
DAY-2
On day 2 your trek starts. The trek is starting from Shitkadi through Nichnai. The distance is 13.5 kilometers approximately. The duration of approximately 6.5 to 7 hours, depending on your stamina and endurance. Since you’ll be increasing your altitude from 7,780ft. to 11,838 feet. which is very difficult for the novices. A lot of beginners start experiencing dizziness and fever and may develop health issues. It is recommended that you’ve been through the process before you head out. It’s moderately steep with a range of types of land, ranging that range from bumpy to steep ascents in the section of maple forest lasting about three hours. After that , you’ll follow a paved path through the valley of the river, and then you are able to time to rest to regain your energy and enjoy a stunning views across the valley. The final two hours of the hike are easy to get to the base at Nichnai.
DAY-3
The trek on day 3 will begin beginning from Nichnai up to Vishnusar. The total distance is approximately 13.5 kilometers, with an increase in altitude of 11,838 feet to 12,011 feet. the trek should take between seven up to 7.5 hour to do the hike. It is an easy walk, with only an hour of climbing your path, and I’m sure you’ll love the climbing portion. It is then an easy walk to the campsite. There is a beautiful views of the mountains and valley as you walk.
DAY-4
On the fourth day, your trek will take you starting from Vishnusar through Gadsar by way of Gadsar pass. The total distance will be approximately 16 km that will take between 7.5 hours up to 8 hours for the hike. The change in altitude is 12,011 feet to 12,200 feet via 13,850 feet. In this trek, it is possible to initially increase altitude. However, once you have passed the region of Gadsar pass , the elevation will drop until you arrive at that Gadsar base. It is an extended and simple walk that will take you through wide meadows along the way. You’ll see various kinds of meadows on the way, as well as the breathtaking views of valleys and mountains.
DAY-5
The trek on day 5 will begin beginning from Gadsar up to Satsar. The distance is around 11.5 km , and will take approximately 4.5 to 5 hours to walking. The altitude will change from 12,200 feet to 12,100 feet.
DAY-6
On the sixth day, your trek will take you starting from Satsar towards Gangabal. The trek is approximately 9 km and takes about 7 to 8 minutes to finish. The altitude drop is between 12,100 and 11,651 ft. There is a challenge of climbing and descending steeply all the way. However, you will enjoy stunning views of the surrounding.
DAY-7
On the 7th day, your trek will begin beginning from Gangabal towards Naranag. The total distance for the trek is 13km and takes between 6 and 7 hours to complete. The loss in altitude will range between 11,651 and 7,450 feet. There is a pleasant hike all the way through which will allow you to see an amazing beauty of natural landscape in the form of meadows, lakes, and mountains everywhere you go.
DAY-8
The 8th day is when you finish your trip and return to Srinagar the drive will take a for 3 hours. This is the most effective method to experience your seven days of trekking that will create a wonderful memory of your life, which is a once-in-a-lifetime moment.
